When I am with you my world falls asleep.

Your eyes take me somewhere I’m not sure I ever want to leave.

I feel awake for the first time,

Like a switch in the back of my head that’s been aching for someone to press it.

I don’t believe in much but I know I believe in you. 

You make the quietest parts of me feel worth hearing,

In your eyes I am exactly who I am meant to be.

A fire is clawing at the walls of my mind,

Every ember breathes your name.

For once I am not afraid of burning,

You are the only warmth I have ever run towards.
