That quiet place.

You open like the morning light,

Not all at once but slowly.

As if trusting the sun won’t burn you this time.

You worry about parts that hesitate,

Quiet corners like pauses before honesty.

But those are the places I love to sit the longest.

There is nothing in you to fix,

And nothing in you that needs hiding.

Every softness, every fear and every unguarded moment.

It’s already perfect to me.

So let me whisper;

So quiet it holds a place in the space between us.

I am not going anywhere for I adore you.

Not for who you might become,

But for who you are.

Every step of the way.
