Lessthanthree.

She feels like a miracle the universe forgot to name.
Not loud, not blinding, but certain.
When she smiles,
Something inside me settles.
It’s like my soul finally sitting down.
The noise of the world grows quiet around her,
As if chaos knows better than to interrupt.
She is beautiful in the way stars are;
Not because they try,
But because they exist exactly as they are.
She makes happiness feel simple,
Not a chase,
Not a question,
Just a place I can rest.
With her I don’t brace myself for impact,
I breathe.
I laugh without checking the room.
I feel safe in ways I didn’t know I was missing.
If the universe ever needed proof of kindness,
I would point to her,
And call it complete.
