Constellations

And if you hung up the moon,

I’d feel jealous for the stars,

So close yet so far.

Each star has its own planets,

Its own moons to hang;

I’m just glad you orbited into mine.

And if the universe works mysteriously,

I’d ask her to keep her secrets.

And if she has a plan,

I’d ask her to take care of you.

And if the stars and moon guided me,

I’d thank them for the directions.

I’m glad I could be a gift,

I shouldn’t be unexpected.

You deserve the whole universe, and I’m glad I could be yours
