Remembrance

Blurred lines slice your face of static,

I don’t remember what you look like.

The fog clouds your eyes and your mind collapses,

I don’t remember.

You question yourself with everything, thoughts collide into a kaleidoscope of memories, indistinguishable.

You don’t remember.

One day you won’t remember me,

I’ll never forget you.

Until the TV turns off in my head,

The static returns and thoughts of blurred lines embrace me.

I hope you remember.
